Step-by-Step Method

Step 1

 Weigh Your Base Ingredients

Add all Phase A ingredients into a heat-safe beaker or glass bowl.

Step 2

Melt gently

Place the beaker into a double boiler (water bath) and heat slowly until fully melted.

You’re aiming for:

A clear, glossy mixture

No visible wax or butter particles

Stir occasionally to ensure even melting.

Step 3

Cool Slightly

Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly (around 50–55°C).

This protects your delicate ingredients from heat damage.

Step 4

Add Phase B

Stir in:

Calendula extract

Vitamin E

Rose essential oil

Mix gently but thoroughly.

Step 5

 Pour + Set

Pour immediately into:

Lip balm tubes or Mini jars

Allow to cool completely at room temperature before capping.

CYBeauty Formulator Tips

For Malta’s warm climate

Increase beeswax to 25% for firmer tubes (for summer)

Reduce almond oil slightly if needed

For a glossier finish

Increase castor oil by 2–3%

For sensitive lips

Reduce or remove Rose essential oil to 0.1–0.2%

Happy Formulating

Xx
